A decision made by Oklahoma State Senate Republicans, Senator V. Glenn Coffee was named the next president pro tempore of the Oklahoma State Senate. The president pro tempore is the Senate's top leader. Sen. Coffee was named the first Republican president pro tempore in July, 2007 and has been reappointed to that position for 2008.
